Default Lawn & Landscape Care Recommendation Wanted

Recommendations wanted for reliable, reasonably priced soup to nuts lawn care (walk behind mower, fertilization, weed control) and landscape care (trimming, fertilization, weeding).

Just leave your garage door open, especially if you are still moving in. They will be knocking your door down to give you a pitch. These lawn care outfits seem to be able to "sniff" out a newbie, probably because they cruise neighborhoods looking for signs of life.

Massey is great, but they do not mow
Deans is another good one, but they do not mow
KB is good they do lawn fertilization and mowing (have not seen walk-behind)
Stellar does it all, but prices seem to change (has walk-behind)

Take your time, ask neighbors, use TOTV as a sounding board.

Default Another vote for Stellar!

We just love them! They are out all the time. They do it all! We bought the whole package and they do EVERYTHING outside of our home!

Give them a call before you sign with anyone!!!

Stellar gets my vote too. I had a canary island planted and Marty took the time to check on for me (first thirty days it needs lots of water) before they untie it, and called me to let me know that it was not getting any water, I had left the house and turned the main water off not thinking the automatic water timer on the house spigot outside would not work that he set up for watering the newly planted palm. His call saved my palm and I highly recommend them.

I was able to call my home safety watch company and they came over and turned on the water. A few palm fronds got stressed from the 10 days of just irrigation water which was not enough for the palm, but I am pleased to say that it is going to make it thanks to Stellar.

We found our lawn guy by asking neighbors who had great lawns. He does it all, including fertilizing palms, and even has a license to spray our lawn and home for pests. Now we deal with one person rather than three companies. He is reasonably priced. We're very happy with our service.

Best bet is to use who TV uses, they have their operation down to a science, that includes their vendors. If you want the best service, nine times out of ten, you have to use who they use.

STELLAR,
they do it all!!!!!!!
one company, one check, one person to call for everything,
walk/push mowers
great crew and helpful, we had an issue about our sprinkler,
stellar crew was next door, we asked for their help on setting the sprinkler times, and in a flash the crew came over to lend a hand.
payment, a hand shake and a thank you!! who does that??

Before you choose a contractor give Seniors vs Crime a call. They'll tell you if they have complaints against a company. They're good, concerned volunteers providing a great service. Why not use it?

Default Stellar does great job!

We have Stellar too and they have been great so far. We signed on for one year and they gave us a month free. They installed the donuts around our sprinklers for free, they come on time and today when we got home someone was walking around our yard. We asked what they were doing and they were checking to make sure all of the sprinklers were working properly. Apparently Stellar sent his guys over to make sure everything was working correctly. When they leave after mowing they ask if we have any comments or concerns. They are very reliable and I would recommend them. If they are higher in price, they are worth it. Remember....you get what you pay for.

Haven't seen any walk behind mower folks or the benefit to walk behind mowers. We like Mike's Maintainance. The Villages uses them for all their green area.
