I spread some baking soda on a small area and WOW it destroyed it. I picked a small area with a area spreading concern and some "good" grass included. Stopped the spread and kept the good grass. I read a lot about stuff and no mention of baking soda. I was going to experiment with water delusion to use it by spraying.
Thanks again. Marty |

A weed is simply plant that is growing in a place that you don't want it.

Unfortunately, baking soda and other chemical killers make the area a tough place to grow the grass you want in the spot you kill the weeds. Dig them out, fill the hole with soil (recommend Sparr topsoil to avoid new weeds). If the area is large, add plugs or sod.
For decades I have watched the catch 22 of applying weed killer to Village lawns, only to see the area attacked by new weeds, and the St Aug or Zoysia not be able to thrive in the high chemical, Alkaline soil created. Just dig the weed up and be done with it, apply Preen to decrease the number of weed seeds that grow in the future. |
