Default Stellar/Service Smart

We have had lots of problems with this company (companies) over the past year and a half --unreliable--make promises they don't keep--anyone else had similar problems? I think a claim has been filed against them by someone with Seniors Against Crime. I am reluctant about doing that but am thinking of doing so as I have had no appropriate response from the company?

When our contract was up we dumped them. How can a good company, which Stellar was, become so bad. It deteriorated over the last 2 years. We have moved on, but curious. What happened to the owner of Stellar?

We use Deans and are very happy with them. No contracts which is how we like it.

I actually cancelled their service with a couple of months left on the contract, chalked it up to a lesson learned for pre paying. Problem is, they keep showing up and are baffled when I send them away and say we cancelled their service. Called the office and they wanted to send a supervisor out to see me, set an appointment, and of course he never showed.

You are not alone. In our experience, Stellar failed to perform its responsibilites for us unless we complained and ultimately we terminated them.

OP, this seems to be relative common among "lawn mowing companies" especially those that require or offer discounts for prepay. Anybody with a lawn mower and a truck with a trailer can apparently start a lawn mowing company here in TV. Sorry I can't recommend someone---I suggest to ask around your neighborhood as many of these companies tend to like to work just in certain areas of TV where they have a large number of customers. Good luck.

As I write this, my wife is outside having a 'lively' discussion with them. Service has not been the same, especially the past year. Our contract is up next week. I actually came on this site to see others' views before renewing or discontinuing. Businesses in TV thrive or close based a lot on word of mouth. Thanks everyone. I'll try someone else.

I have been on the phone for 2 days trying to get Service Smart to mow our lawn. We now have mushrooms growing. No one has returned my calls. Will not be renewing our contract. I am so disgusted with them. All I get when I call is, I am so sorry, there is nothing we can do. If they are so sorry, why not get some one to return my calls or come out here and mow are lawn. I am finished with them.

Maybe time for a class action lawsuit for breach of contract?
