YES....at least in my area! I'm still coughing just a little. I've had the latest bronchial crap going around for a few weeks. Nurse at doctor's office says she's seen MANY ill with cough. Seems to hang on for a while. My friend has been dealing with the cough for almost 2 months and she was nice enough to share it with her husband.

If you are concerned about yourself or a loved one, maybe a visit to the doctor should be considered....to determine what is going on. If you are dealing with what's going around, remember chicken soup has magical powers...

Yes! Walking pneumonia as well! It's a hard, deep cough not necessarily with phlegm. If you're wondering then go to Urgent Care and have it looked after. Also ask them for "pearls"...these are great RX cough meds!!

Yes! My 87 yo mother has had it for two weeks, with phlegm. Hasn't had bronchitis for several years. Wonder what's different about this year. Can I get her to go to the doctor? "NO, IT WILL PASS!"

I know you are talking about brochitis, but this option, occurred to me.

If you have never received a pnuemonia shot, please get one.

Mr Compassionate doctor told me, that it won't stop you from getting pnuemonia, but you won't die from it.

A lovely thought from my old physician.

Could be pneumonia. I would definitely see a doctor.

I believe you are referring to Tessalon Perles (benzonatate) an effective non-narcotic cough suppressant.

I just got over a persistent cough/bronchitis that I had for about a month. I just couldn't seem to shake it. The funny thing is I had very few other symptoms. I eventually took antibiotics because I figured I had a lung type infection and that killed it. Not fun.

I'm 3 1/2 weeks with it. Went to Urgent Care at the on-set & got meds. ! week into the meds I had an allergic reaction which seems to be a common occurrence for me every time I am put on antibiotics. After feeling just plain miserable from the reaction I quit the meds.. took benedryl for a couple of days and still trying my own therapy. Chicken soup, airborne, echenaisa and yes I misspelled that.

Please be very careful, bronchitis can lead to pneumonia. Happened to me last year at this time, I was extremely sick. Cough stayed with me for months after and I saw a pulmonologist, ENT, etc. and couldn't shake it. The pneumonia made me very sick with high fever and totally lethargic. Make sure to get some antibiotics.

It seems to go around every year since we've lived here. At this point in time, we call it the "Village Crud". The cough seems to linger for quite a while. Tessalon pearls are the greatest. Chicken soup and TLC work too.

I've had what started out as a head cold when we visiting in Ohio over thanksgiving. After a few days I saw the doctor and he put me on antibiotics and I finished them as directed. Still have a nuisance cough so I shall be returning to the doc.
