Not sure what you mean by diet doctor? One that will give you phentermine and the HCG injections, or one that will counsel you about gastric bypass surgery?

30 lbs to lose does not really qualify you for the above mentioned options. A nutritionist and an exercise program are your best bet.

Last January I signed up for Burn Fat Orlando by Dr. St. Germain. He's on the radio on Sunday nights at 5pm (I think) and it's an AM channel. I was very skeptical but desperate. All my attempts at doing it on my own have failed. The office is in the tall building at Santa Fe Crossing, 2nd floor and take a right down hallway. Door on the right. Mindy and Michele are great and have done the program themselves. It is NOT cheap but you use regular food. It is a NutriMost program and you can google it. I lost 30lbs in 30days and went on maintenance. I started 1/28/15. I am not on it now because of 3 surgeries that were coming up but as of today by staying off carbs since I finished the program I am down 57lbs. This was done with NO exercise in my case because of 2 bad knees. I was not hungry from day 1 on this program even though it is an extremely low calorie diet. Good luck in whatever you try. I still have a long way to go but I am now convinced I can do it.

I would recommend a Weight Watcher's meeting in Lady Lake. Men do great on Weight Watchers. I've been to the meetings in Lady Lake and the ones I attended were very good.

Nutritionists are good too but I think the group support is a great help.

Also, exercise is the key! I love the Walk Away The Pound classes in TV. I've been doing Leslie's DVDs for years here in Michigan and probably have over 25 of her DVDs! But, I like to do the classes in TV! I even take her DVDs when we travel and play them on a portable DVD player in the hotel's gym!

A woman I know had good success with the Metabolic Research Center here. It's on Wedgewood near Southern Trace.
