Dr Duke replaced my right knee around eight years ago. Thankfully I still have my own left knee and won't need Dr Van De Leur services.

I personally have no experience with Dr Van De Leur. But a few months ago, I was doing physical therapy at the Orthopedic Institute's local rehabilitation center for something else, not knee. Next to me was a patient of Dr Van De Leur who replaced his knee around five months ago. He said that whenever he tries to swing a golf club, his knee swells up and becomes painful. I realize that five months isn't a lot of time for this sort of thing. I personally was able to golf after three months of my operation, albeit on pain killers. Maybe someone here has more experience with golfing after a knee replacement. How long did it take?
Duke WAS NOT that great of a doctor. You got lucky. He put the wrong device in my husband who had to have Optimotion fix it.

Dr. Van de Leur did my hip this year. There's a certain pain I wasn't expecting, that seems unusual for the surgery that was done. I'm getting that checked out. But the recent X-ray shows everything is perfect. The hip itself is pain-free, as it should be since it's now artificial. The bursitis is completely gone. He did a great job. His bravado was a bit off the chart during the consultation, saying I'd be good to go within a couple of weeks - the nurse explained a few weeks later that it'll be up to 6 months before I'm completely healed and jumping on a trampoline again (yes, I do that). But other than the over-inflated ego, the surgery itself went fine. As for the ego - most bone surgeons have that affectation. The guy who did my knee was even worse.

He's a surgeon with the Orthopedic Institute, which has offices in Brownwood, Summerfield, Ocala, and I think also Leesburg but not sure on that.

Default Great Idea!

The benefit to mental health of this will be priceless.

Just like golf is in itself a great mental health benefit for all who play no matter at what level.

Default Anterior Hip Replacement

I've had both hips replaced. First about 10 years ago in IN and the other 6 years ago by Dr. Van De Leur. Both doc's used the Anterior Method. (only way to fly) Both procedures were flawless.

Smile Very happy with Dr Van de Leur and The Orthopedic Institute.

I thought Dr Van de Leur was very patient when I met him, answered my questions, asked me questions, explained the hip joint replacement procedure thoroughly (anterior versus posterior). He did NOT push me to have this surgery; when I was ready, he was the one I wanted to do it. Had it done on 9/30/2026; very happy with the results, 2 weeks later. The Surgery Center at the Brownwood Advance Care Center is so clean & efficient; the front office staff and nurses are so welcoming. And how convenient it is to have your doctor on the 4th floor and the surgery on the 2nd floor; home 15-20 minutes after discharge.

Isn't it just possible this was unintentional by the accused? Apparently the wine had been placed inside a new carry bag which got scanned. It seems possible that he may have forgotten there was wine inside. I suppose his attitude when confronted would help resolve intent but we are not privy to that information.
