Went back to rhuemy and he ordered an X-ray. X-ray shows osteoarthritis and he still believes it is a bad case of gout. Put me on more prednisone and my big toe is still throbbing. Anyone have gout that lasted 8 days or more? Also, what are your thoughts on drinking decaf coffee? Thanks in advance for all your help!

Thanks Kitty! I saw that too however, their are conflicting views. Trying to get some personal experiences and really appreciate your helpfulness.
