Default Verification Code

Many people are hailing this method and website as the latest and greatest, but so far no deal for me.
You didn't say - Did you put in the verification code and give the information requested; put zeros in for SS# and check "No" when asked if you have insurance. May take a day or more to get the Step 2 vaccine code back via email.

Tried entering my code in again and it said invalid code.
So, guess I just have to wait and see if I get it.
The same thing happened to me. I registered first and then I registered my husband. His confirmation email came in one day later than mine. I should’ve signed us up using two different devices at the same time. Not a huge deal though… We are getting the vaccine.

The 5 digit code is just to register and go onto the waiting list. You may need to wait 3 or 4 days or longer to receive the 6 digit code.

What I am wondering, of course, is why something like this wasn’t developed and in place nationwide ready for use whenever a vaccine was ready. If it can be done now, it could have been done six months ago and sent out to every state and county, ready to turn on. How hard was it to anticipate that this would be necessary?
I think we all know why there was no nationwide plan for all this. It would’ve made it much less stressful for us and those that have the power could have worked on the details for a couple months before the vaccines were actually available. But alas… That did not happen.

Interesting read on how it alters The Body's RNA...
Even after receiving both vaccines, the CDC still recommends that you wear a mask and social distance. We have to do this until we get herd immunity which is now at least 70% if not more. It is not over yet when you get the vaccines yet.

For those having issues with signing up, find your computer savvy friend to help out.

I've helped several neighbors in our Marsh Bend neighborhood get registered. Many have received codes for vaccine appts.

Several factors can impede your registration: some use smartphones, some use tablets, some use computers. Some may have security issues preventing access. Some may have devices that need app or browser updates.

Yesterday when I helped a neighbor using their laptop, the webpage was wider than the screen, so had to scroll far to the right to enter the code; and the "next" button was cropped so it was hard to click on it.

Be careful when typing info, double check your work. Remember, haste makes waste. Also "0" is not the same as "O". "1" is not the same as "l" or "I" <-- first is a lower case "L", second is a capital "i" . People may have different fonts as their default font. The codes sent out are all capital letters, no numbers.

As others have noted, the Safe Restart website is legit. Registration will be accepted if you state you have no insurance, and you enter 111-11-1111 or 000-00-0000 for your SSN.

If wanting a text, type your cell phone number carefully. If email, type your email address carefully.

Always check your work.

Good luck, and help a friend who may not be computer savvy.

The website is Safe Restart

That's "https : // sumterfl.saferestart.net" without the spaces or quotes.

Default Saferestart.net works well!

This vendor is State of FL sponsored. I got my 1st shot yesterday, and saw Gov. DeSantis doing a televised Press Conference. This seems to be an extremely legitimate operation.

I did not have a choice of my first or second vaccine date. I did have a choice of what timeslot I wanted for the first vaccine date. When the final confirmation email was sent it automatically had the second vaccine date and time slot on it. Don’t even know how you would attempt to change anything there.

Smile

I registered on Monday 1/11 at 9:13am and received a date to be vaccinated on Saturday 1/16 for the first shot..... second shot will be in February.

My husband registered on Monday 1/11 shortly after 12:30pm. He was notified last evening to come for his first vaccination on Saturday 1/23.... 2nd shot in February.

It just shows how many people registered in those 3-4 hours. Yes, they are giving them in order of being requested. Be patient .... they will eventually get to you

We did get a screen stating our information was accepted and approved with the date and time of confirmation.
The same page stated we would be called when the next available appointments were applied.

We also received a confirming email with the same information.

Has anybody used this site and actually got an appointment?

With such low numbers of dose availability I suspect the wait will be longer than we think!!

So now we wait.....
Yes. Signed up on Tuesday, got appointment on Wednesday. Will be going on Saturday

Our appointments are for this morning; Wednesday at ten and eleven. It is in the developer's empty field behind Red Lobster, Fresh Market etc....down near the Charter Schools and Walmart.

The first allotment was for 4000 doses. This site has 90,000 doses on order. I am as excited as I can be and so happy to see the first shot be given to me and my dear husband this morning. I thank whoever organized this here in The Villages. AND the scientists and the health workers and anyone who was part of getting us this highly effective vaccine. YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

If you can believe other posters, they are not giving out appointments in the order they were requested.
