Default Have a happy and HEALTHY Thanksgiving,...

....otherwise known as National Food Addiction Day.

If you have health issues or have had serious health issues in the past, what is your advice to maintain health or to regain health?

Some have said it's not how you eat on Thanksgiving or other holidays, it's how you eat the rest of the year. But "normal" weight people never say that, it's usually overweight people who say that. That's because people who lack emotional control on holidays usually lack emotional control the rest of the year as well.

How do you avoid that emotional trap? Here are some suggestions:

* Eat out so there won't be any high calorie leftovers.

I'm eating out today at a restaurant that serves roasted turkey. It's not Thanksgiving so there won't be any pressure to overeat. Tomorrow I will know that I already had my Thanksgiving dinner so, again, there won't be any pressure to have a big meal. It works for me.

What works for you?

P.S. Giving an emotional reply to this thread will only prove that you lack emotional control.
