Did you receive Physical Therapy after?

Cheers!
Or you could just continue to suffer.

Had my left hip replaced 3 years ago by Dr. Vanderleur at the Orthopedic Institute in Summerfield. Only physical therapy was walking a short distance with a walker. After a week no walker. No pain. Surgery was done at Monroe Hospital in Ocal. The hospital was great. 2 day stay. Good experience!

Default hip

Had hip replaced about 15 years ago, year after, I got a recall notice on hip. Acceptable hip failure 9%, this one was running 18%. Still less than 20% 1 in 5. 15 years later I am still doing good. for a few years I was having blood work done checking for heavey metals from grinding of metal parts. No PT. doc said do this excersice you will be fine, if you don't do it you will probably have problems. Lateral hip lifts. Hip replaced day before Halloween, out dancing New Years Eve.

Left hip replaced, left shoulder surgery. Nothing on right side. Remebered 30 years earlier rolled car on left side in an accident. Throwen into the left side of car. Walked away with minor scrattches. 30-40 years later it comes back to bite you. Problems on left side of body none on the right. Know others like that, something you did or happen when you were younger coming back to you later in life.

Default Hip replacement by Dr Messieh

I had my right hip replaced and told I didn't need PT. Never had a bit of problem with it. Dr Messieh replaced my left hip and unfortunately I had to have revision surgery a couple of years later because the ball was too small and popped out twice. He put in a bigger ball and I've not had any problems since. Very easy surgery and quick recovery time as long as none of the muscles are cut.

I had left hip anterior approach. Exercised before, PT at home after. It was a P. surgery went home next AM. Highly recommend Dr. Joseph Locker. He has had hip replacement himself.

I would be curious to know who Dr. Locker trusted to do the hip surgery on himself. Whomever Dr. Locker chose would be a serious contender from which to pick.

Dr. Locker , did both my hips two yrs. apart. Did absolute GREAT surgery. He is located in Ocala. You must follow the post operation instructions and you will feel new again in no time. Thank God for modern surgery.

One of the best ways to rehab after hip surgery is to use a pool

I am a Certified Personal Trainer
I have a water resistance program called .

The bouyance of the water allows you to strength the 5 major muscle groups, improve core, balance and stability

I can provide more information if interested

I had two hips replaced the first one was with Dr. Leo Whiteside in St. Louis and it was done in 1992 with one revision of only replacing the cup. The second was done in 2010. It was done at the Memphis spine clinic has had no revisions. I’m still just fine play golf walk and do anything I want what is been limited me is not my hips, but my back.

I’ve had a hip replaced, my sister had both hers done and I have numerous friends who have had a hip done. My sister had a problem years after her first one but no one else I know has had problems. Recovery is quick. You should probably expect time in outpatient physical therapy.
