Default Gynecologist or PCP for Pap

Just wondering if you use an ob gyn or your pcp for your pap tests. I have to make a decision soon as its been 2 years since I've had one. If using a gynecologist who do you recommend?

If the only GYN care you need is a Pap and your PCP is comfortable and competent doing the test then using the PCP is entirely reasonable. However, you also should review the updated recommendations on how often you need to have one done. The frequency depends on your age, number of normal previous tests and other factors. For some women the recommended frequency is never.

If you have Medicare they will only pay every two years now. I went to Dr. Uzomi Rwaubani for mine but I was already a patient of hers.

Dr. Anita Chait is very good. She has offices in TV and Leesburg.
