Surgery is his last resort.

here is his web site Dr. Daniel R. Spurrier, MD - Home Welcome to our practice! For information about our services, such as Minimally Invasive surgery, visit our TREATMENT OPTIONS PAGE. To learn more about Dr. Daniel R. Spurrier, visit his BIO PAGE. To learn more about

You need a Dr referral to see him and you should have your latest MRI for him to read.

Tell Dr Spurrier that Jim Locke from TLC highly recommends him. He doesn't rush to surgery, either..... conservative treatment.

Default Dr Hill? Or Dr Spurrior Neurosurgery?

I agree wholeheartedly that Dr Spurrior is THE BEST! He explains each possible option, the whys and wherefores. I opted for the surgery as I had exhausted all the other options. The operation took place on March 6, and lasted 45 minutes to an hour. I was initially referred to Dr Michael Hill. His option was a 2 hour plus surgery consisting of rods being implanted, and spinal fusions. Dr Spurriors operation treated the Spinal Stenosis with a 1-1/2 inch incision, cleaned out the area causing the pain, and except for the arthritis that can't be cured, I am near pain free!!!! Dr Hill???? Or Dr Spurrior? It's a no brainer!!! Also, Look on here to see what others say about Dr Michael Hill, including his incorrect diagnosis.

I had Dr Spurrier do minimally invasive" surgery on my L4 L5 to remove bone spurs 3 weeks ago. My problem was sciatic pain. I walked out of The Villages Hospital the same day without plain. I was on pain medication for about a week, not because I needed it but because I didn't want pain to get ahead of me. After about a week I stopped the pain medication and felt real good. I started to walk outside the same day I got home from the hospital and within a week I was walking over 3 miles a day. For 2 weeks after surgery Dr Spurrier didn't want me to get into any moving vehicle or lift anything heavier than a can of soda. I followed these instruction but felt like I could do about anything. After my 2 week post op follow up Dr Spurrier indicated I could do anything with the caution "If it hurt don't do it or don't do it as much". So far (and I hope it continues) I'm able to do the things I tried without pain. I've played Pickelball a couple of times and danced a bit without any pain. I've been cautious trying not to go overboard in the things I've done. Golf is next. I wonder if the surgery will help my slice with my driver!

Before surgery I had two other opinions and one suggested removing the bone spurs and doing a fusion the other Boniti institute in Tampa was also only going to remove the bone spurs. After doing a web search on Boniti institute I found several malpractice suites against them that were serious and decided against them. I decided against the surgeon who also wanted to do the fusion since it took a longer recovery and Dr Spurrier said my case wasn't bad enough to have a fusion.

Everyone is different I'm sure but I couldn't be happier Dr Spurrier and with The Village Hospital for this procedure.

Default Ocala

I went to Dr Dan Robertson at Ocala Neurological. He is good but very businesslike. In and Out quickly. He has partners who have been said to be very good as well.
