No. They’re lazy doctors and get kick backs for prescribing medications. Plenty of doctors will and should talk about nutrition. They just don’t hear in Florida, specifically the villages because “old people” don’t listen. They just want cure all pills that lead to other side effects then give you a pill for that. Diet is a much better option.

Does anyone here have the name of a good and solid nutritionist, or doctor, that is highly trained and knowledgeable in the area of nutrition and first attempts to treat chronic issues such as inflammation with diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes, rather than being quick to prescribe meds to treat the issue?

Thanks in advance for any useful posts on this issue.
Check you facebook groups. I’ve seen several nutritionists on there.

Maybe an exercise physiologist, not psychologist.

I’m the OP - checking back in - had my yearly physical yesterday - In reviewing my blood work numbers, doctor took me off EVERY single prescribed med I was on. First time totally med-free since the age of 40! This was all due to my own education and effort. Doctor never gave me any advice how to reverse chronic issues and inflammation - was just happy to keep on giving me pills to mask the symptoms. Staying thin, cleaning up one’s diet and exercising are crucial for healthy living as we age. I encourage others to spend time researching nutritional issues - you will rarely get this vital information from your doctors.
