Default Gynecologist Recommendation?

Hi, we're new in The Villages, and I'm looking for a good gynecologist. Can anyone recommend a particular person? Doesn't have to be located here, could be in Ocala or Orlando. Thanks in advance!

I had such a very pleasant surprise when I recentlyh had my annual exam with Dr. David Shuck at Villages Gynecology. I saw him by "default" when the physician I saw previously at this practice left.

When Dr. Shuck asked if I had any problems/complaints, etc. I said no. He then asked about specific "maladies" to which I would answer "well yes, but it comes with my age". He pooh-poohed that answer. He feels there are a lot of symptoms we more "seasoned" females do not have to accept. He believes in the benefits of natural hormones.

I highly recommend him. He seems to be a very caring physician.

Villages Gynecology has a web site:

I highly recommend Village Gynecology. Dr Steepy did my hysterectomy, and she was fantastic.

I highly recommend Dr. Schuck. I had a problem and he went all out to help me get rid of it. He is easy to talk too.

Thanks all. I decided to go with Village Gynecology, and they assigned me to Dr. Schuck.

I have tried for three months to get an appointment with either Dr. Steepy or Dr. Schuck. I am always told they only take a limited number of new patients. I've decided to look elsewhere, but when I look in the phone book there are not many gynecologists listed. Can anyone recommend a real good gynecologist? I would even drive to Ocala or Leesburg. Thanks much.

I use Dr. Steepy who is wonderful. A relative uses Dr. Colleen McQuade (across from Bone Fish) who I have met and find her to be very thorough.

You might consider Dr. Nalini Yelamanchi (Internal Medicine) who's located across from the Laurel Manor Recreation Center. Though not limited to gynecology, she does do well women exams, including Paps.

I recently became her patient when my insurance coverage changed and am very pleased to have found her. When going over the results of some lab tests I had, she scooted her chair over beside me so we could both see the lab results together. A small gesture but it made me feel "included" in my care.

She's at 1950 Laurel Manor Drive; Suite 172; 391-5900.

I started Village Gyn with Rosemary Kipp ARNP . She was great, but she soon referred me to one of the docs. Rosemary is easier get in with.

I just returned from seeing Dr. Shuck at Village Gynecology--and I am happy so far. He is sending me for extensive lab work (both saliva and blood) to measure my hormones--and has scheduled an exam for me during the next two weeks. He seems easy to talk to as others have said....

I had my first visit with Dr. Shuck last week and liked him very much. He seemed to have plenty of time in the room and made some suggestions and observations that no dr. ever has in the past. Then he printed out material to "educate" me on the subjects before prescribing anything. A great choice!

Dr. Steepy at Village Gynecology is great. It took me 4 months to get an appointment, but it was worth the wait. I understand her partner, Dr. Shuck is also very good.
