My wife and I had our 1st back surgery performed locally. We both required a 2nd surgery, & went to Shands Hospital in Gainesville in 2017. We highly recommend Dr. Daniel Hoh. I had a level 1 Fusion, and my wife had the hardware removed from the 1st surgery, & Dr. Hoh had to then straighten her spine out to perform a level 3 Fusion. We are both doing well. Shands is 60 miles, and 1 hour & 15 minutes from The Villages. Well worth the drive. It is a teaching hospital that is excellent in every way. Hope this helps with your decision. Good luck.
