Let's see.
![]() The toilet seat is plugged into an electrical outlet, and you're squirting yourself with water from a steel wand....what could possibly go wrong?

But on the other hand, those pesky hemorrhoids would probably be gone.

We have what I've always called the "faux bidet" and have had this arrangement for some years. It was my husband's idea and was, I think, inspired by the two heads in our sailboat. It consists of a simple hose/water sprayer from Home Depot plumbed into the water supply line of the toilet, and adjusted for water pressure. The hose/sprayer fits into a receptacle mounted on the wall within reach. The water is never really warm but it sprays just fine and that's okay.
Recently, we were invited by friends to a private viewing of their new "bidet", installed by Paul (?) Sorry, his last name has slipped away. Maybe it's the same one the OP has? It is a wonderful electronic contraption with many features. Anyway, after seeing it operate, I now call ours the "Poor Man's" faux bidet. Last edited by Carla B; 09-06-2014 at 09:51 PM. BTW, demos are available with a mobile model which has a cover to keep your home dry. No dropped drawers required.
And there is no unusual undressing required for the seat (vs. the fixture). One just 'pats dry', then off you go. |

My brother has a very nice model, warm water and a whole array of options. Very nice, but I had to remember to bring my reading glasses with me to read the remote or I could just be adventurous and press them all.

water lines.....power lines.....really?
Keeping toilet seats and surrounding area is a task unto itself. Now add the power cord/line and the water line, the enclosure for the moving parts.!!! Way too many joints/points/cracks/crevices (no puns intended, honestly) to collect what will be difficult to keep clean. Not one iota of commentary that would warrant more than a nano second decision making....No thanx. |
