Try Dr Marc Rogers at TOI in Ocala. I had both knees replaced over a year ago at West Marion Hospital. Awesome care. Love Dr Rogers and people cannot believe how small my scars are. Good Luck!

I just had a knee replacement with Dr Duke on July 1st…….After your first appointment with his assistant to qualify you and get all the details, the second appointment with Duke is pretty quick. They originally told me about two months after my appointment with Duke but he had a cancellation and I was in, in 3 weeks. Most of the revisions in the hospital are by Duke. If, there is a problem with a knee replacement by another doctor, usually he is the fixer!! He has done over 7400 knees!! He is extremely informative and Susan, his right hand is amazing!

Default Knee revision

I was turned down by Dr Dukes office when I tried to get him to see my husband. Very disappointed that he would not even consult. Also was referred to Tri county by the Villages hospital and they would not give us an appointment . I finally got in to Monroe Regional Ortho. Had to see their shoulder man twice before seeing the knee man there. This has been one horrendous experience and we are still waiting for a surgery date. Hubby has broken parts in the prosthesis and is now wheelchair bound. We have also been referred to Shands and no response from them going on two weeks.

Dr.Duke had me on a bending machine a few days after surgery. You lie in bed and it goes back n forth for you. This kept me from getting scar tissue build up. It is only for a few hours per day. I actually did a little more daily figured it did not hurt it. It is extremely important to keep knee and surrounding muscles moving and do your rehab therapy/ exercise as told to you by Dr. And physical therapist about 2-3 times daily. Dr. Duke came in to see me after surgery and before release to rehab facility. I am quiet happy with his manner and expertise .

Default Knee

Polar Bear you are not the only one that does not understand this. I have been told by several people in the medical field that we would have a difficult time finding a doc to take on my husbands case. Just pray you never get an infection in a total knee replacement and need more than one revision. It can be really scary. I am praying he comes out of this with a somewhat functional leg.

Dr Nguyen is the only doctor to do this for you regardless of the wait! I just had mine done and he put me on the short wait list based on need! Recovery time is so short compared to traditional surgery! Get the knee shots and wait for the best doctor on the planet!
