If you live here full time and had belonged to the TVH and now find that you must look for a new doctor there is nothing funny about this situation. It may be entertaining if this situation doesn't affect you, but for the rest of us, there is no way we are giving up our company or federal healthcare plans. My Medicare Medi Gap plan allows me to leave, but I can never return to the plan. I would never do that as trusting TVH would be a big mistake. The trust is broken. Laugh at that since you are not affected.

Does anyone know of a dentist who would take The Villages Medicare Advantage plan should we decide to switch? We have been researching it and can't find anyone.

Please go to this site and look at the different supplemental plans and Advantage for Medicare. It's good information to help in this very important decision in our lives. Hope this helps!

I have Tricare for Life, something I am proud to have earned. It's an extremely valuable and precious benefit that brings me security as I age. Prior to my 65th birthday this year I got "the letter" inviting me to leave TVH or go with UHC HMO options. I investigated the benefit under the two products that United Healthcare offers in conjunction with TVH if Iopted to turned my Medicare Part B benefit into United Healthcare Medicare Advantage product. The specific UHC provider network for these products is extremely limited. The UHC drug benefit would effectively end the excellent drug benefit I have under Tricare for Life. So no more Express Scripts. One of my drugs would cost me about $800/year more under the UHC package. I decided to stick with Tricare for Life.

Hope you don't learn the hard way how costly (healthcare-wise and dollar-wise) medicare advantage can be.
