Default Urgent Care Office @ LSL

Last Friday just before 4PM I found myself having to go to this facility due to a mangled thumb (long story, will tell later).

The staff was very efficient, handled the paperwork and co-pay quickly, was seen by a tech and a physician within 15 minutes, and out the door, bandaged, one tenanus shot later and with a prescription for antibiotics (told FREE @ SweetBay & Publix, which was true!), and all questions answered with dignity and respect, gone by about 4:30PM.

My experience was probably best effected by timing (no one in waiting area when I showed up). Nevertheless, the attitude of all who were there, and their demonstrated professionalism, made it the best "emergency room" minor care experience I've had.

Good service deserves praise - they got it!

Very sorry to hear of your injury but thanks for posting this encouraging message. I will be a resident within 5 weeks and living near LSL; would you mind replying and letting me know exactly where this office is located? Really hope the injury heals well and quickly.

There are a couple of medical services buildings on the south side of the LSL complex. You can't miss them.

How were the prices compared to a doctors office or emergency room?

It involved two dogs, a chew toy, bad vision and my clumsiness - all a recipe for finding out that a $15 deductible can solve most of my mistakes....

Hello .... I asked the very same question on 10/01 and Steve responded as to the location on 10/02. Just scan up to those dates on this thread and you can see his reply.

Excuse me, efranhingarcia, but because I am not a resident, yet, I believed it was "safer" for you to read the location posted by an actual resident. I did provide the date of his posting and thought that would help. I'll have to think twice about trying to help in the future.

I don't know for sure that this is the same place that SteveZ visited, but I had necessity to visit the LRUC (Lake Regional Urgent Care) facility at 910 Old Camp Rd., Suite 114 in the Sumter Landing vicinity. The office is in the "professional offices" area located behind the Sweetbay grocery store. I actually had to visit them twice, to treat a case of bronchitis. (I needed a stronger antibiotic than first prescribed.) I found the staff and treatment to be good. I had a short wait, nothing to complain about. I would return to them any time a need arises and would recommend them. I can't comment on the costs since my insurance covered everything.

What are there hours? Are they open 24X7? Would be great if they were.
