This doesn't preclude a healthy meal --- everything in moderation.
Not all of us want to eat SOLELY for longevity.
Some of us want to be healthy while at the same time enjoying healthy food with friends. And the enjoyment is so great that we want to live longer so as to enjoy these things for a longer period of time. And there's nothing wrong with that. Not all of us want to eat solely for taste.

So glad you prefaced that with the fact you haven't had any.

Thursday two women friends who are villagers came to visit me and the talk came to recipe's and cooking. One is the mother of the other and the older woman still makes home made pie crusts for the fruit pies she makes weekly. She has a kitchen garden and brought some starts for my herb garden. Last year she had enough green beans to can them. She likes to cook them with ham for a long time...like I love them.. an Ohio thing.

She makes great cookies and brownies too.

She moves about easily, enjoys good health, and has a lively intelligence. She checks her finances daily on the computer. She is 102.

Yes, but is she a vegan?
