Guess what this boils down to is seeing the glass half empty of half full. I don't believe anyone is attacking anyone else, just stating how we see things - glass half full. Sorry if
this offends you.

THANKS FOR THE ARTICLE. PERIOD.
Most of the posts above consisted of conversations until people came in expressing their contempt for "arguments". This is another example of what I was talking about.

Another attack by casting aspersions. The suggestion is firmly planted that I must see the glass as half empty. Thank you very much, you proved my point.

I agree with what you wrote above. What you said sometimes is the only answer.

But back to the point of this thread. It was nice to hear good things about our town from an outside paper.

It makes me feel nice to read it. Sometimes things like this become in part anyway, which is all a reasonable person can hope for...they become self fulfilling actualities. I know I am more active than I was up north and I know I am eating more vegetables and fruits. Half a loaf is better than none.

My grandmother said that...NO arguments.

I don't see it in terms of half full or half empty. If you ask me a specific question I can tell you what I think. For example, if you ask what I think about the article: Was it well written? Yes, I think the reporter was given a specific assignment and did a great job in fulfilling her assignment. In order to get the story, she needed the cooperation of those she contacted, so she needed to tread lightly. And she did. It was intended to be a feel-good story and she got it just right with that goal in mind. So the glass is full, in that regard.

Well I'm glad, but surprised to hear you say that. Your original post gave me the feeling you weren't happy with the article. Sorry for that misunderstanding.
