I am selling some furniture on Talk of The Villages and Nextdoor. Someone called me and said they live here but were traveling. They said they liked the photos and would send me a Cashiers check. They would included the movers fee in my payment. All I would have to do is give them the cash for their portion when they came over for furniture, I told them NO and reported phone number.

PLEASE be aware of such "scammers" this is not legit the Cashiers check is bogus usually.

Roofing: I had Chris Ransom from Dan Shepler for an opinion and possible quote. I was impressed that Chris told me right off I did not need a roof and mine looked good rather than pointing problems and selling me something I didn't need. I respect that and will call them when I do need a roof!

Electrical contractor: I got a price from a local contractor to put in a shower light and switch and was quoted $260. I saw Lake Sumter Electric at a neighbors and ask for a price and they quoted $160 and could do next day which included the light and switch. John did a great job. They showed up on time, neat and clean work. very happy!
