We bought in Caroline and were told that was a great location because it's close to Sumter Square. And they were right. But since then we moved to Glenbrook and found that so much more convenient because we often shop on Rte 466 (and go to restaurants and banks and drug store). And we can take our golf cart anywhere--So close to Savannah, Saddlebrook and Santiago----and we often go to Mulberry and also Glenview Country Club. Good luck in your search!

Greetings Phantom. We purchased a home in Winifred last year for similar reasons. Worth a look. Good luck with your search.

Hi. I think your observations are spot on. I actually live in the northern area, and love the location because of its close proximity to stores, restaurants, and 2 out of the 3 town squares I also like the more established plantings and landscaping etc. But to get a newer (or not so old), you should look near Sumter Landing. Any of the Villages surrounding Sumter are great. I personally would not go further south than St, Charles, but that's just my preference. Look at proximity to both the Regional and Village Rec Centers as well as shops and main roads etc. I'm not aware of neigborhoods that have more renters compared with other areas, but your realtor may be able to answer that question for you, I moved here just 14 months ago and was extremely happy with my realtor. Nit sure I've been too much help, but I can say that we continuously have to pinch ourselves for being so lucky to live here. It truly is paradise! Let me know if I can be of further help.

Hi TVers
We have visited tv many times but are trying to figure out the best area to
Purchase a home. Our observation is that anything around Sumter Landing would be a good fit. The main reasons are it is centrally located; not as old as Spanish Springs and not as far away from big box stores , doctors and restaurants etc as Brownwood would be. We know that most people love their own neighborhoods for various reasons but we would appreciate feed back especially about areas to avoid that mainly just attract renters and snowbirds. We do not want to rent and trust that your feedback would help
Thanks
