As a former landscape installer for mico customes based out of wildwood, i feel the need to let the homeowners in the villages know the truth. Mico customs is knowingly installing the wrong types of sod. When i asked about this, i was told to never let the homeowners know and to lie. So if you are being told you have empire zoysia there is a 50% chance it is not. Also half of their crews drive around on fridays drinking beer, so be careful if you see a mico truck on friday. They also installed 4" pop ups where 6" pop ups needed to be installed. Please pass this on, and if you have a home here in the villages and mico installed you may want to double check the sod they put in, and if you have st. Augustine you should have 6" pop ups not 4". I hope this gets out to the homeowners so they can know the truth.
