The American Assocation of Law Librarians convention was in Reno, Nevada in 1989. I was the WESTLAW cataloger and was introduced as such and I had been in 1989 working for the Law Library Director, M. Kathleen Price, who would become the Law Librarian of Congress from around 1990 through 1995 or so. This was at the University of Minnesota Law Library that I was the WESTLAW cataloger.
I had gone to BYU Law School in 1982 on a Merit Scholarship for non-Mormons. I was only there for 10 days or so. I liked the Law Librarianship training as it was so complicated and challenging. I decided to get a MA in Librarianship and Information Management at the University of Denver after talking to a few of my former Philosophy Professors at the University of Nevada, Reno.
