Did you ever get the driveway done? How did you like your contractor?

Well we were there from 01/06 thru 01/17 and of course it was another great visit. No warm pool weather tho. In the 30's on some mornings and got up to the 60's some days. Of course the day after we left it hit 75. But we missed another snow storm and didn't have to shovel a flake!!!! We're stuck in cold Jersey for awhile now and won't return to FL. until March 6th thru the 16th. Based on all the crappy weather around it can't be much fun be a UPS driver. We'll both just have to look forward to spring arriving in either state that we happen to be in. Sue's getting anxious to sell her business's and there's a potential buyer lurking. Got my fingers crossed that it works out and maybe by this time next year we'll be Frogs. Stay warm.

sorry it took so long to answer you,,,you have probably forgot you send me this question...I have been in the trucking buisness most of my life...I have been an saftey educator, to driver instuctor to informational ad.....I owned a company called Midwest Trucking Inc. for 10 years and sold it, I now am a road driver for U.P.S. I know you have to be thinking why go from one side of the fence to the other side. Well simply it,s all about retirement and money...Road drivers at UPS have better benefits and make better money then in the offices...I am 58 and I am not wishing my life away ,but look forward to retirement...My wife and I come to the villages atleast twice a year and look forward to living there...We have talked to many people there but never made any friends there...We will be down again this year for two weeks at Thanksgiving....Look forward to seeing the tree lighting again this year.

i have been reading all kinds of interesting stuff about life in TV....One things interests me , of all the things I read here I never seem to read anything about how much income one should consider having before moving there.....With all the things there are to pay and do, considering one would have zero mortgage ,what would be a comfortable income to play there......
