Default Picks

Well, after a horrendous week one (picking 3 visiting teams), I'm switching to more home teams this week.

Carolina
New York Giants
Pittsburgh
Baltimore (defense) beats Tenn Titans

Thanks for doing this JohnN!!!

Default Week 2 -- A new strategy...

Since I had a great week of prognostication last weekend (1 - 3) I have decided to use a more detailed system for this upcoming round:

After careful thought (and after being mocked by John for my "dog-squat" system), I have decided to take into account the thermodynamics of gravitational systems, probability distribution, symmetry breaking in quantum mechanics, as well as taking into account the spectral actions of the Aharonov Bohm phase from self-adjointness chaotic spectral statistics.

This is going to take some time, so I will submit my picks later in the week.

Alex

Don't dump the dog-squat system. It's got it all over that other stuff!

Alex, well, I was 1-3 after comprehensive analysis reading, study, forecasting and prayer, so at least the dog squat method is cheap and simple and yields comparable results. So while I may have mocked, I was wrong.
My dog and I are going to come up with this weeks results really soon, and probably 1-3 again, consistency proves the model.

My dog refused to cooperate, so I flipped a coin,
disregarded that and chose my teams. So I expect another 1-3 week, but I don't know which one I got right.

Carolina, Pitt, NYG, Balt

Dog's are like that, John. But as soon as you turn your back...

After careful deliberation:

Baltimore Ravens
Carolina Panthers
NY Giants
San Diego Chargers

You see, I was picturing a giant with a lightning bolt in one hand and his other hand was holding a panther by the scruff of the neck, and he had a raven on his shoulder.

But then it could have been a titan with an eagle in one hand and a hunk of hot steel in the other with a cardinal on his shoulder.

Or maybe it was just a bad reoccurring LSD trip from the 60's....

Werner was one of my fantasy QBs and he got me a lot of points while Romo was out. Unfortunately, the Cardinal's dismal record on the East coast kept from picking them. But I an glad that they are winning.

Probably the easier team for my Giants to beat in the finale.

Default Seems like I picked the wrong two underdog teams.

Maybe this weekend will be one when only the underdog teams win but I doubt it. That said, I may wind up going 0-4 with this week's picks but I will keep with Philly over the Giants and San Diego over Pittsburgh.

The home audience has not been too happy so far this weekend. Perhaps, today is a good day to go see Marley and Me rather than watching my picks go down.
