Interesting that a small state like Indiana will have two NFL teams.

Rosy projections that fail to include:

- stress on existing inadequate infrastructure
- increased rather than decreased taxes for local residents

The current roads are woefully inadequate to support the type of traffic that will be brought to the area. Instead of building out the infrastructure first, they will wait until it is intolerable and then try to fix it. But there won't be any money for that and bc it will not be pre-planned, it will make it next to impossible to retro-fix.

The reason the Bears are likely going to IN is bc IL does not want to give them their requested break on property taxes (and they shouldn't), which would shift the burden to local residents.

These billionaire team owners always want concessions from the local taxpayers, and they generally get them bc they can pick up and move to another city or nearby state where they may get a better deal. This is just a business decision, nothing more. There is no such thing as loyalty.

It will also cost less to build in IN than IL bc there are less regulations and no requirements like minority owned construction firms and union labor.

That's why the owners want a dome stadium, which is sad. One of the best things about football is that it's played in the elements. The owner of the Eagles said publicly that when the team's contract expires with the city, he has no intention of staying in Philadelphia. He wants a dome statium.
Noted in that economic report.
The desire for a dome is not so the players can avoid the elements. It's so they can host the Super Bowl and other events year around.
