What are the Pats thinking?

I am SO over the hype of Tebow.
You must have been in some third world country the year he took Denver to the playoffs and beat Pittsburgh with a last minute pass.

Will he come out of the backfield to receive a pass every now and then? Yes (maybe). But not 110 catches per year!

Let's have him make the roster first before we put him in the HOF.
Danny Amendola will the be the replacement for Welker and he may be every bit just as good. It always seems to me that the team and coach have made many of the players what they are in New England. We've had a lot of mediocre players come in over the years and play like super stars while they were in the system.
I take nothing away from Welker, but I think that if he not played for Belichick and with Brady, he'd be just another reciever.

Well I guess we'll put that to the test this year with Peyton. I predict continued big numbers.

I love the way we get all worked up in a tribal frenzy. I've gotta get some new Pats gear.

Granted, NE has the edge and have outplayed the Jets in recent years but this statement has nothing to do with the record. It has everything to do with the occasions where the Jets have kicked the Pats butts. Actually I'm happy whenever the Pats get a whupping. Go Giants!!
The question was also tied to Tebow having the Jets playbook. I don't see how anything the Joe Namath era Jets has anything to do with this discussion.

Oooh, that has to hurt - good one Doc!

I guess that's why the Jets - Pats matchup is so good regardless of the teams current standings. All in good fun

He spent 8 years under the tutelage of one of the greatest coaches in history. That made him a much better player.

I think that he will do well with Manning.

Tim Tebow lured to the dark side. What he shame, he was always such a nice young man.

Whatever position Tebow plays, he better do well or Boston fans will have him for lunch. If he thought New York was a tough town, wait till he gets to Boston.

NY fans mostly liked Tebow. They realized early on that Ryan had no intention of playing him. Mark Sanchez caught hell from the NY fans and that will likely continue this year, at least from this Jets fan.

Default John 3:16 and Tebow.

Like Tebow's highlighting of JOHN 3:16 even though it does seem rather inappropriate for a football quarterback-- especially in a college setting--to espouse one religion over that of others. To me, JOHN 3:16 also seems to mean that anything will be forgiven at judgment day as long as you believe in Jesus Christ. Great thought for those Christians in John's day who probably had committed all kinds of sins but with faith.....

We will have to see if and when Tebow plays, if the New England Patriots allow Tebow to wear his religion on his sleeves, face, etc. I do not remember the Broncos allowing Tebow to wear his 3:16 face paint but that did not stop him for going for 3:16 references. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/t...off-win-010812

I celebrate knowing you too, Kitty, but I'm a born-and-bred Steelers fan! Sorry. But I am definitely hooked on football. And baseball, despite the Pirates. And hockey. Tennis... Basketball, no.

There were lots of rumors of a Welker trade earlier this year. I believe he is on the downhill side of his NFL career. Tebow could be a wild card.
