Sorry Doc, you seem to have a lot of trouble understanding the original statement by Russ, "Have you seen the Pats record against the Jets? Don't think we need the playbook". Not surprising for a Pats fan. I'll type it for you a little slower, maybe that'll help. Haaave yooou seeeen thhe Paaats reeccoorrd aggaaiinnst thhe Jeeets? Dooon't thhiiinnk weeee neeeed thhe plaayybboook. There, does that help. It was followed by a pretty simple with a simple, factual answer. You were unhappy with the record and decided you wanted to cherry pick the years. If you're actually a longtime Patriots fan you undoubtedly recall the many years when they sucked. You can't eliminate that part of their history. As a Yankees fan I recall some years in the 60s when they were pretty bad and while I don't like to think of that it's part of the Yankees history. No doubt if we were discussing baseball you'd want to concentrate the discussion on 2004 and 2007 and forget about all those years between 1918 and 2004, but that's a discussion or another day.

I think this was rude and inappropriate. You wanna disagree, do it without being nasty-sarcastic.

How the heck does a playbook from last year help? That might be the biggest myth in the NFL. I'll bet a hundred players a year move from one team to another. It's a non-issue. Maybe that's what I should have said. Let's keep it light please - this isn't a political thread. It's fun and games and good natured ribbing.

You're right Russ. Sometimes folks from other areas don't understand how New England and New York fans like to needle each other. No offense intended by any of this stuff, none taken. When we're done busting each other I'll buy the next round. I'm pretty sure NE could tell the Jets the exact play they were running and the current Jets couldn't stop them. Likewise, I don't think Belichick needs anyone's playbook, most of all the Jets. But still, it's fun to yap at one another.

Belichik doesn't need a playbook--he has a video camera!!! (Oh SORRY! Now I"m being nasty)

Didn't realize you guys were joking. It sounds pretty nasty when there's just the printed word.
