Default PriorityPet Urgent Care

I the future you might want to try PriorityPet Urgent Care at Lake Deaton Plaza. We were impressed with the exceptional care and the facility. They were able to help with a skin issue that our regular Vet had been unable to fix. Our dog showed a miraculous improvement in 24 hours. They even referred us to a local vet for followup. No more long trips to our now ex Vet in Clermont.

The first time that she saw this veterinarian at his practice was about a month ago . It was an emergency on the weekend and indeed the vet did come into the room and see her , prescribing medications and explaining the situation Everything was fine. My sweet girl woke up this morning with a very red sore eye, and I called this practice located in Summerfield. I won’t mention the name but it is well known , to see if I could get her in. I was told because it would be asking for an appointment today, there would be an additional $22 charge as well as of course the veterinarian examination which was 70.00 . All well and fine. I took her in at the appointed time, there were no other patients in the office. The nurses assistant came out and took her from me ,took her in the back for approx 5 minutes came back and told me that she has a little eye infection and the doctor was prescribing an antibiotic ointment At no time did I see the veterinarian or even confirm to myself that there was an examination. I did ask if she had seen the doctor and she said yes. Because of my baby‘s age, I was going to ask the Dr to check her blood pressure and that she also be weighed, but because he never came into the room (nor did I ever see him in the office )that never happened. Is this normal? I always remember in years past my veterinarian coming into the room greeting me greeting my dog doing the examination in front of me , asking questions ,telling me what was needed. that is what I consider a veterinarian examination . This appointment left me feeling unsure as to whether to continue with this Veterinary practice as with my girl’s age I’m going to need a much more proactive veterinarian that I can trust
To help me with difficult future decisions . Am I wrong to now feel unsure about trusting this practice in the future ? What would you have done ?
I don't know where you went but I have been going to Country Oaks for years. I always go in with my dog and we always see the vet.
