My new neighbors dogs are pooping all over his backyard and he doesn't clean it ip

My new backyard neighbor has two dogs. He installed an electric fence and leaves his lanai door open. The dogs bark all the time and he never cleans up after them. Some of the stuff is so old it's turning white. I called Community Standards but as of now our neighborhood is still under the developers jurisdiction. We have made several complaints as have my neighbors but nothing has changed. What can we do to stop this problem. It is so bad I don't want to sit on my lanai and in the warm weather it smells. Do I have to move to get away from this? It seems there must be some recourse. Any one have any suggestions on what I should do next?

I would call the health department in the area, look in the phone book under govt. offices. I would think that there's some agency that can bring some pressure on your poopy neighbor.

Sounds horrible. Have you and your neighbors engaged with your new neighbor as of yet?

Community Standards, isn't giving you the correct response, being under the developer has nothing to do with the enforcement of of rules and guidelines.

Of course talking directly may solve it. :doggie:

You could always pick it up, nicely give it to your neighbor and explain you noticed it was beginning to smell, so decided to gather it all up for him for disposal. Or, there's always the old standby, gather it into a paper bag, put it by front door, set it on fire, ring doorbell and run like heck.

I know it can be hard for some folks to do, but talk to them. Tell them that your not usually a complainer but...........
After you speak with them and if nothing is done about the problem, either live with it or move.
I've always wondered why folks here move a lot. ( I know a few that have moved 3 times). I think it's to get away from troublesome neighbors.
I managed RV parks for many years. So many times people had to be moved because of dog barking, dog pooping, cigar smoker ( not the dog), too noisy, fighting, etc, etc. (of course moving an RV is a whole lot easier than moving from a house).......but, it's all the same.
Our homes here in TV are so close that it can be a real pain to deal with an issue that a neighbor is creating.

Just don't get it on your shoes and slip and fall when you light it off !:MOJE_whot:

If you live south of Hy 466, wait until they poop in the front yard, then call the troll patrol and complain about the presence of unapproved, out of compliance "yard ornaments".

Really, it is too bad you have to put up with a neighbor of such discusting habits.

While I empathize with your predicament for obvious reasons, I really have to chuckle. There have been endless posters on this forum who complain that dogs are going on other people's lawns and they should only have their dogs go on their own property. Here we now have someone with their dogs going on their own lawn, and it still is a problem. I have no idea why they don't pick it up; it is pretty gross for sure but it IS their lawn.

PammyJ 11-22-2014 07:19 PM

Let me get this straight. The dogs are pooping on your neighbors property who owns the dogs. You are complaining? Are you a dig owner? Man, we can't win. You teach them to poop in their own yard and people are still complaining? Stop already, it doesn't bother some folks if the dogs poop in thier own yard.

I don't think the OP was complaining about the dogs crapping in her neighbor's yard. I think they clearly stated that their complaint was that the neighbor never picked up the turds and the smell was strong and offensive.
