Default Anyone else all pumped up for the Ryder Cup

I watched the opening ceremony today and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. To me, this is the greatest event in all of sports.

I remember being there in 1999 and I had tears in my eyes during the closing ceremony.

Perfect timing for me as well because my Patriots are playing on Monday night. I don't have to make a choice or switch back and forth.

I plan on watching as much of it as possible. Looking forward to it. I also won't have the conflict with having to switch between the patriots or golf on that night.

How so? They are still playing only for national pride. No cash involved.

To me it's the most exciting sporting event in existence.

Unfortunately, it looks very bad for the Americans at this point.

I do not consider golf a very exciting sport to watch. I consider it exciting when I am playing.

I watch it when there is nothing else to watch.

I do tune into the Ryder Cup to see who is ahead. Go USA!

Just my thoughts.

Europe only needs to win 4 matches.

I would say McIlroy, Rose, Poulter, and Dubuison are sure give them those points. I think after today's rounds, it is clear that Reed cannot handle the pressure, and I think Stenson will win that match. Furyk looks tired, and will probably lose to Garcia. Mickelson will be out to prove he shouldn't have been benched, and his "throw caution to the wind" approach will derail him as it has so many times before.

We don't have a chance. The only question is how early will it be over.
I hope I am wrong.

IT'S OVER................Hopefully in the next two years we can garner a good team. This is not to take away from the 2014 team. They were young but boy they tried very hard. I hope that Phil Mickleson captains the 2016 team! GO PHIL
