I think that's about right. The problem with these kinds of rankings is what is mentioned in Annika's story. The women in the 40s and 50s didn't have the depth of fields that the women have today. The same goes for the men.

When Babe Zaharias played there were only a handful of women on the entire tour.

Mickey Wright's accomplishments are spectacular. But one has to look at the number of women on the tour in 1964 and how many had the ability to win. People like ten year old Beverly Klass playing. It wasn't all that difficult to get on the tour in those days simply because there weren't that many female golfer and there especially weren't that many really good female golfers.

It's always difficult to compare athletes of different eras so these lists will always be controversial.
