Kind of a shame that so many of the top players are out. Interest and viewership will be way down.

This is exactly why the PGA change their championship from match play to stroke play.

The two best players left after today are in the same bracket. Ideally, you'd like to see the two best players in the world in the finals. How many people would watch Cameron Smith play Kyle Stanley in the finals? The best we could hope for now would be Matt Kuchar who is way down in his match playing Justin Thomas in the finals. But it's more likely to be Ian Poulter or Alex Noren.
