Default Master's week, and the winner is????

I love it when the "experts" predict winners. One prediction that Spieth will not finish better than 25th. Sure hope he proves them wrong. Have been watching for 20 plus years. Made several trips to Augusta when we lived in NC. The "ole boy" actually played at Augusta when a club member, Billy Joe Patton, invited Doug and two other members to join him. What a thrill!

I would love for Spieth to win or Ricky Fowler. And your choice would be????

Any one of the three is good.

I thought there were eight players that could have won, but Rickie Fowler, barring a miracle has pretty much shot himself out. Of course he could seek advice from Curtis Strange.

It's almost impossible to predict a winner these days. Certainly the eight that I have in mind would be the favorites but I wouldn't take anyone against the field. Someone like Charley Hoffman who has been playing well, and had a good finish last year could pop up and surprise someone.

If I had to pick one player, it would have been Jason Day, but after yesterday, I have to say that the odds are with Jordan Speith.

One thing about The Masters is that the winning score is often within one or two shots of the leading score after two rounds and the winner is usually not the second round leader. There are exceptions of course such as last year, but in most years this has been the case. There have only been five wire to wire winners in eighty years.

Jordan Spieth shines and Bubba Watson implodes: The good, bad and ugly from the Masters - SBNation.com

Bubba Watson fell apart yesterday. Hope he can make a come back.

Let's see if the winning score is somewhere between -2 and -6

Rickie Fowler and Phil Mickelson are out. Too bad. It would have been a better tournament with them in the mix. There was a lot of talk about Rickie is a great wind player. Didn't work out that way.

Could be, but with this field and especially, this golf course anything can happen. Birdies can be made in droves and it's quite easy to make a big number on many of the holes.

I'd say that anyone within eight shots has a chance and those ten behind are not completely out of it either.

Certainly is the favorite at this point, but he's going to have to have a very good round today as the weather is supposed to be a lot better. Warmer temperatures and no wind will be conducive to some very low rounds. This golf course, especially the back nine, will give up some very low scores and will also punish those who are a bit off with some very high scores. That's what makes the Masters so great. Someone is likely to shoot 30 or 31 on the back while others may shoot 40. If you play mistake free, you can shoot a very low number, but one or shots that are just a tiny bit off can result in a player shooting himself out of the tournament.

Jordan hit some vary bad shots yesterday and was able to get away with it because with such severe weather conditions, no one was able to shoot a low score. Things will be very different today. I think that he needs at least 68-69 to win because with so many great players so close, it's highly likely that one of them will go low.

It was hard to watch indeed. It was the 12th hole that came unraveled right? He did his best to come back though.
