Watching Tiger such a treat. I am so happy to be able to see it live.

I, too, am a Tiger fan. I have always appreciated a passionate, take no prisoners, work ethic.

When he's bad - he's good.

And when he's good - he's even better !

What a great round. Unfortunately he really blew his chance for an all time record. Ten years ago he would have finished this off by making that three footer on 15, not hitting it way past the hole in 16 and making the short putt on 17. He should have shot 58 yesterday.

But, you're right, it is delightful to watch him when he's going good.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that the Bridgestone Invitational is played at the Firestone Golf Club?

Just a note. Tiger has won this tournament in eight of the past 15 years.

Aha! I just found this on Wikipedia:
Quote:
In 1988, Bridgestone purchased the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company. Placing considerable financial and personnel resources into rebuilding Firestone after the purchase, Bridgestone achieved surplus annual profits for the year 1992 with BFE (Bridgestone Firestone Europe) and again in 1993 with BFS (Bridgestone Firestone USA). The Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and Bridgestone Tire Company Ltd USA were amalgamated in 1990 and became "Bridgestone Firestone North American Holdings Ltd". The North American subsidiary to Bridgestone Corporation is now named Bridgestone Americas, Inc. The tire division is Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC.
