Default Arnold Palmer's

Palmer's Restaurant was great from the start. Went there last week and was disappointed. They raised their prices and lowered their quality. As usual management screws up a good menu and drives the place into the ground!!! >

Probably lost the chief... They do not pay anything. When my wife was in the hospital, the guy delivering food trays was talking to someone.. he said he made more in the hospital than as the executive chef at LOPEZ

Ain't FLORIDA GREAT

I agree, recently, my wife and I had lunch @AP and noticed a change in quality but didn't really notice the price increase. I guess we were not that observant. Thanks for the heads-up.

My experience with Palmer's is that it depends on who is cooking that night. I've had an appetizer that was absolutely fantastic (the artichokes) the first time I had them, along with the rest of the meal. The next time I was there everything was okay, but nothing spectacular. The reason? - different chef cooking that night. The waitress even agreed that was the difference.

Maybe they need to post the schedule of who is cooking each night, then we would know when to dine. :dontknow:

Nope...the key is consistency. If they can't be consistent then we should not eat there. It's time to fight back.....and we can.

We took friends to Palmer last week. They all had prime rib and I had the Petit filet with shrimp. I didn't even get a salad with my entree. The filet was very mediocre and the four small shrimp were hard. The snow peas and baked potato were the high point of my meal.
I think you could have gotten better food at The Golden Corral!

Can't agree with the negative notes regarding palmer. We stopped in Sat. 1/05 at 6:20 pm. Seated promptly, joining a nearly full restaurant. Opted for the prime rib special which was cooked to perfection and accompanied with hot (not luke warm) potatoes, and string beans and grated horseradish (not the sauce). Also included side salad of choice. All in all a delicious meal at 17.00 each plus wine, tax and tip. No dessert as opted for 2nd glass of wine. Highly recommend, especially after recent negative comments. :#1: :#1:

We don't like Palmer either. Isn't there a nice quiet restaurant in TV?

I do enjoy Palmer for lunch. The Black and Blue burger is good.

I agree with jime. We were there last week with another couple for lunch and it was great. Everyone enjoyed it. So maybe it does depend on who's cooking. And samhass, that black and blue burger is my favorite!

I did go for lunch today. We ate on the patio. I had the black and blue burger with fries, cole slaw and Arnold Palmer Iced Tea. The food was decent although the bun was hard..like it had been nuked to long. The waitress bordered on being surly. I figure we all have bad days sometimes, so I killed her with kindness. Some of the surliness went away and she wasn't quite so grim. We tipped her well despite her attitude. Hope she has a better day tomorrow.
If I have her the next two times and she's still surly, I'll make sure not to be in her section again. As I said, we all have the occasional off day...but some people are just nasty by nature. If she is, she's in the wrong business!

I think I may have had that same surly waitress last month, so it must be her nature or there might be more that 1 working @AP. doh
