Default Cane Garden

Had a wonderful lunch at Cane Garden today. We both had the Roast Beef Etouffe (sp) and I just wonder how on earth they get the beef so tender yet not falling apart. You can cut it with a spoon!

Cane and Mallory are our two favorite dining spots in TV

Tried Havana to many times , always disappointing. I'll wait for a new owner. ( inevitable) )

Although Cane Garden is the closest country club to us, we just went there for the first time a couple of days ago. I was impressed with the menu..they have a LOT of things. The Greek Pizza was wonderful, as was the Asian Coconut Salad. It was so good, we took our friends there the next night.

I'm glad to hear Cane Garden is still up to par. My son who I haven't seen for 2 years will be here Friday for lunch on his way to Tallahassee, and I was planning on taking him there.

My brother scouted out Cane Garden's meatloaf several weeks before I arrived in TV in February 2005. He still orders it whenever we go there, regardless of what else might be on the menu!

I might follow suit myself, but I really, really, do like mixing it up!

My brother and I went to Cane Garden yesterday evening about 5:30. Sat on the patio - heat not an issue and it was very nice. He said he had the meatloaf a month ago and it was too spicy for his liking. I had it and liked it and didn't think it was very spicy - he is kinda wimpy about food other than burgers and fries.

My only complaint is their limited "happy hour" which is 3pm to 6pm, I think. When I was there for lunch yesterday they were packed. I guess they don't have to give you half price drinks to drag you in, so they don't.

Food was really good though, and that's why I was there.
