zcaveman and tommyt---We would drive miles out of our way to go to Patti's. The last time we kept driving in circles trying to find it. Finely gave up and assumed they had closed. This was years ago.

Never had one but it sure looks good!

But I'll take a Chicago Italian Beef with sweet peppers ! (and not the ones sold at the joint that closed next to Katie Belles)

Default We tried Bella Pizzeria tonite!

Upon arriving, we discovered Bella's is take-out, delivery and catering. Not an eat-in restaurant.

So, we ordered a traditional crust sausage pizza and a salad, waited in the car and brought it home.

Menu has quite a few choices besides pizza, the people were very nice and what we ordered was made fresh. The place was clean and we thought the prices very reasonable.

For pizza, you can choose from 3 kinds of crust, 5 different sauces & cheeses and a myriad of meats, fruits and fresh vegetables.

We may try one again sometime. Gonna explore some more.

I think Chicago Style Pizza it the BEST!
That being said, I'm sure my hubby will want to check out all the pizza places in TV when we get there just to be sure!

Angiefox.... I am from Milwaukee and I too miss the areas pizza.

Two different people have recently told me that there's a place in Spring Hill called Guido's run by a guy from the Racine/Kenosha area that make the closest thing to that style of pizza around.

This is for the folks who say I have rose colored glasses.

There isn't any La Rosa's Pizza or Donato's Pizza in this area. And because of that, there isn't any ANY excellent Pizza in these parts, i.e. The Villages, Lower Paradise, my home town, does not have excellent Pizza!!!!!!

Excellent Pizza is like the Pizza from your home town.

Now I am going to talk about another local sandwich I would like to try.

All of you Buffaloanians rave about this. I can't find a Kimmelweck roll, which I have figured out is a "bun" with kosher salt and caraway seeds on it. So I may have to bake one, unless one of you is gonna fly one in for me.

Swimdawg???? You have a little container to carry on the plane???

The pork roll sandwich last week was yummy!

That Beef on weck sandwich looks good. Never heard of it before.

Agree with you about the place that was next to Katie Belles. Their Italian beef was just OK. We got it once and that was it. Their pizza was better.

If I could only get an Augustine's Pizza from my hometown of New Castle,Pa,I'd be in heaven. Not to mention, two hot dogs with everything from M and P's Coney Island Restaurant.Or some wings from Quaker Steak and Lube in Sharon,Pa.[Yes,I know they have a branch in Clearwater.]

Nope, Gracie is correct. Cincinnati has many good pizza brands, but IMHO, La Rosa's is best.

Here2stay, bravo. We've lived in 8 states, and NY/NJ pizza is the best ever. I think because mostly it's from small independent shops, as opposed to chains. The folding... the dripping... the exact correct ratio of sauce to cheese. I'm having a meltdown just thinking about it. And so many of the little places, you can walk in and buy by the slice. Ohhhhh.... (sob)
