I remember being in Katie Belle's during a summer visit, before I became a resident, and I heard a woman complain the snowbirds were taking up space as she felt the residents should have top priority, in getting a table. She further stated that it's not right that she could not get the table she wanted, as was pi**ed off.

I guess she was not aware that snowbirds pump a lot of money in TV economy, as oppossed to some resident who may go to Katie Belles, on a very infrequent basis. She felt it was her right as a resident.

Don't jump on me as I was just a bystander to this converstion.

Some people really feel a sense of entitlement like they are the only ones here. They don't realize if it wasn't for snowbirds and renters spending money, we would not have all we have. These restaurants, bars and stores need to make money.
It's funny when I listen to some people complain, some of them are the ones that order water, extra lemon and put in some sweet and low to make their own lemonade at a restaurant and take their own drinks to the square.
