Default Breaded Tenderloin Sandwich Indiana Style

I had lunch today at The Toast Cafe located at 2468 Hwy 441 Suite 101 Fruitland Park. This is the previous location of Rae Raes Cafe.

The Cafe is owned and operated by a Villages resident couple that moved here from Anderson IN. and owned and operated a very sussesful Cafe in Anderson before selling it and moving to The Villages. The cafe in Anderson carried the same name The Toast Cafe.

I had breakfast there last week which was very good and fairly priced I went back today and had the Breaded Tenderloin. Their Breaded Tenderloin was as good as any I have had back home in Indiana. The service was very good. The price of the Breaded Tenderloin is $11.29 including one side.

If you give it a try I hope you will enjoy it as well as I did.

Sounds good!
I make a breaded pork tenderloin...but in cutlet form. Never even thought of putting it together in sandwich form. Gotta check it out....

Is it actually TENDERLOIN, or a chopped and pounded pork steak or pork chop that is what is usually passed off as a pork TENDERLOIN in this area ?

That's great news for this Iowa guy! If you're ever over in Sanford you need to check out The Breezeway. Outstanding!

I remember when Burger station was open in the Shell on 466a. They had fantastic tenderloin sandwiches and burgers.

Had breakfast there yesterday. Was ok but the gravy for the biscuits @ gravy needs more sausage in it. Will have to try the tenderloin though. Used to get good ones from the gas station on 466A b 4 it became 7 11. He was from Indiana also. We’re from Iowa so we know all about great tenderloin sandwiches!

Having never been to Indiana, this west coast guy is unfamiliar with this sandwich. Would the tenderloin be similar to a German breaded, pork schnitzel? I look forward to visiting this place and checking it out - thanks for posting OP.!

They are similar. Both are pork loin pounded / tenderized. A schnitzel is battered while a tenderloin is breaded.
