Default Cheng's is excellent in my book

Despite a previous poster's issues with Cheng's, I must say that I love that restaurant. I've eaten there several times, the most recent being today, and the food has always been excellent. Today, I had the shrimp with Chinese vegetables, and I've NEVER had it cooked better at ANY Chinese restaurant. Plenty of shrimp and fresh veggies, all cooked to perfection. In addition, their hot & sour soup is outstanding, and they have the best egg rolls I've eaten anywhere.

Both of the servers, one male and one female the times I've been there, are excellent. The service could not be any faster, the food is always very fresh and delicious, and I've found the servers to be quite efficient and friendly.

As several posters indicated on the previous thread, it's unfair to bash a restaurant because the patron spilled soup all over him/herself and no one ran to their assistance.

Not too long ago, I tipped over a Coke at a Mexican restaurant. No one ran to my assistance either. I did ask a server for a handfull of napkins, which they gave me, and I wiped the area up the best I could. Coke refills are free, so I then requested another Coke. After dining, we came home and I changed my clothes. No big deal. It never entered my mind to bash the restaurant because I was clumsy. BTW, we still eat there at least twice a month.

One thing I will have to say about Cheng's is that the man that appears to be the owner and/or manager has the personality of a slug. He's the one usually at the cash register. Fortunately, I'm not interested in any conversation with him, so I could care less how attentive he is or is not. He takes my money and gives me my change effectively, so I don't have a problem with him.

Just thought there should be a positive side shown for this restaurant. I personally love being able to drive my golf cart to eat such outstanding Chinese food.
