Bamboo Bistro adds no MSG to any of their dishes!

Default Re MSG free

My husband and I are both MSG sensitive and do our best to avoid it. When a restaurant says it is MSG free, what usually is meant is that they do not add any msg to the dishes. However it is almost impossible to have no msg in any food, particularly if a chicken or meat base is used for a sauce or a soup. If you stick with veggie type dishes and seafood, you are pretty safe and even if there is a little in the sauce I find that the restaurants that say No MSG are conscious about the amount of commercial sauces in their dishes. At home I use oyster sauce a lot and I'm sure it is not totally MSG free. There are so many other names for MSG that I can't keep up with them all. All I know is that at Cheng's I have never had a reaction to anything that I ate and it all tasted great. I always order everything MSG free no matter which Asian restaurant I go to.

Another vote for Cheng's - both eat in, and take out. The best we've had in the area. Not sensitive to MSG, so I really don't know if they use it or not.

Bamboo Bistro is located in Rolling Acres Plaza between Outback and Carraba's. Next to Jim's Golf Shop.
