Our Codys are not franchises. Mr. D owns 4 Codys.

As the Father of a former Employee of Cody's I can tell you they treat their employees like crap! Sort of Management by the Gestapo handbook.

We were there and we were served cold fish. Managers response was to microwave it and then offer one desert. For $15.00 fish plate seems he would know to make someone a fresh piece of fish. We felt sorry for the server she was from a high end restaurant in S.FL and even she was embarrassed.
They need to get there act together before the new name will be house of empty chairs!

newguyintv: your comments are not surprising because the complaints track with poor management

Chairs will never be empty at the bar. Those are the "regulars" who always make excuses horrible food and service, because they're buzzed most of the time and don't see it.

It's not the customers job to educate the manager on how to run his restaurant. We go there and expect the restaurant to run efficiently and that's what we are paying for. If he can't run the restaurant then he isn't doing his job. We're paying for the food and service and if it isn't up to par then I don't see a need to locate the manager and complain. We just cross that place off our list.

I think the owner of Codys should read the threads about his place. I would think any business owner in the villages would check in here once and a while to see what others are saying about their business .

8 of us just had dinner a Cody's (LSL), with very good service, my wife's drinks were a little delayed, but all of the food came at the same time and I heard no complaints. This was at 5:45 pm when we were seated. We will be returning. Also, the last time we were at Cody's (Brownwood) we did not notice any of the above problems or concerns, however, we will keep an eye out as this location is much closer for us. All of our previous vists to Cody's (Brownwood) have been very good.

There are many of us there that are not "buzzed most of the time"

Wait until Texas Roadhouse comes to town, they will take a "bite" out of their business with better pricing and much better tasting steaks! If Codys in Brownwood was business smart they would start cleaning up their act now to try to keep as many repeat customers as possible.

People quite often judge establishments by "key" appearances. For many a clean , neat and attractive main lobby (in a Hospital ER, or main lobby) suggests to many that they will receive good care. My key to whether I want to revisit a restaurant is the condition of the restrooms. There are several popular "watering holes" including at least two Country Clubs in TV that I avoid for that reason.
