Restaurant + beverages of all types = Big Profit Margin
tea, coffee, soda (fountain), all cost pennies per serving, They have more in the glass, ice and over head than in the product. |

We were at Magic Kingdom and sat near a table of 4 adults and 2 kids.
They got 1 burger and then went to the "fixins" table and got lettuce, mayo, pickle relish and ketchup and different kinds of mushrooms etc. and "made" lunch. |

WOW - That's sad. They must have been financially challenged or.......
the cheapest people on earth.

I doubt if they were "financially challenged" since it costs $89 per person to get into Disney World for 1 day.

Anyone that can complain so loudly about the cost of what they buy have never been the retailer trying to make a living.

Gotta Take Advantage of Happy Hours
Quote:
Went to Glenview CC last Wednesday, instead of Beef's. (Couldn't get served in Beef's in Southern Trace, our regular Wednesday night spot.) Tab was $36.85:
My point: Alcohol, especially cocktails, non-happy hour, is expensive. Be prepared. Service was good and ambience much better than Beef's. Cost about $10 more than a couple of Beef's sandwiches/salads and 4-10 oz drafts. Beef's is still our favorite regular place. Nice servers, but too few. They almost run from one table to the next. Leave off the alcohol...if you can. I prefer not. Last edited by jandbrare; 05-22-2013 at 12:00 PM. Reason: Grammar correction |

offset pricing
The food prices are pretty reasonable in my opinion, which kind of makes up for the prices of the pitcher. Some of our friends met us at Codys for food and drinks. The total tab wasn't that bad considering what some other places we've visited came up too. Next time I will get a designated driver and drink my beer before I leave.

I found out that after 3 or 4 pitchers of beer, I have a headache the next morning also.

We had lunch yesterday and enjoyed it. We forgot to tell the waitress we would share a 2 for 1 beer but got through our 4 pints of beer anyway although we were sluggish in the afternoon.
Not sure about Cody's pitcher price but last week at Bonifay before 5P we were charged $7.00 for a pitcher during Happy Hour. Now that seems reasonable enough but then what is the price after happy hour; $14.00??? |
