We had dinner at Bonefish last night on the patio and noticed that seating inside, which is normally busy, was empty. The server said he thinks it is because DeSantis opened full seating in all restaurants in Florida. And people are apprehensive about being in a crowded restaurant. He also said that they were going to be very cautious about keeping the seating in the restaurant the way it was before with social distancing in place. We are wondering if this is happening in other restaurants around The Villages.
Would love to hear some feedback. |

Been going out once or twice a week for past two months and find most are maybe 50% full during the week.
Last Sat at Havana inside was about 50% full and outside maybe 10%. |

I agree with the server. I think it would be wise for restaurants to continue the limited seating. It makes customers more comfortable.

Went out when the restaurant's first opened. Where employees were not waring masks we did not return. Eventually we just stopped eating at the restaurants.

As much as many people don’t want to deal with reality, we are in the middle of a very dangerous pandemic. What else would one expect?

Have no plans to eat inside at any restaurant. I have no concerns about outdoor seating. I get that Desantis is trying to protect the economy in a state that has no income tax but I'm continuing to look out for myself.

I am been out and about during the pandemic repairing / servicing AC systems, eating lunch, getting gas going to distributors to pick up material, Lowe’s, Home Depot etc.
currently go to dinner a few times a week. I have seen between 10 and 50% full. Haven’t noticed any change in the last couple weeks. Most seem to be taking various amounts of protection. I don’t waste time trying to count how many do or not wear masks, I do the best I can to stay safe. I am probably in better health than the average person that might be giving me a false sense of security but at the same time have working in very dangerous environments and used to doing the best to stay safe if it’s working near the edge of a skyscraper or suiting up in safety gear in chemical plants. I view it like other hazards I have worked around or in. Most of the people here are not used to working in hazardous environments or conditions and would never consider it. If you are the average person stay away. I have heard of more people dying from car vs golf cart within 2 miles of me than the virus but we all continue to drive Carts without protective gear.. Hum |

Been going to dinner a couple of times a week for months, not worried life goes on! We appreciate all the restaurants that are open and will continue to patronize them. Some of us have to work for a living and have been doing so since the CCP was sent to us. So we don’t have the option of being held up prisoner in our homes...Thank God...don’t even think of it. You do whatever makes you feel safe, and lets stop beating that dead horse...
