Taltarzac725: Are you sure it was "pulled" vis a vis "chopped" pork? I stopped going there because they didn't have pulled pork. Perhaps they have added to their menu?

Could be "chopped" pork. I do not go to barbecue places very often and this was at a neighbor's home who had purchased the pork.

The menu has "chopped" pork in the sandwich section. There is also a section for meat by the pound, which is what my neighbor got.

We were there Friday night in a group of 8 and most had the Rib combo with a choice of other meats that included pork. I thought it was pulled pork and it looked like this picture of pulled pork(without the rice)

According to some of the other block partiers we did have pulled pork the other night. Not 100% positive about that though. It did look like the picture posted by chuckinca.

Cannot really say I would know the difference though between "chopped" or "pulled" pork.

My wife and I went to Oakwood last night for the first time. We both ordered the full rack of baby backs ($12). The ribs were absolutely delicious...meaty and fall off the bone tender. Their sauces were great also. The side dishes I ordered were the collard greens and the corn salad. Both were excellent. I have eaten a lot of bbq in my day, and I thought that this was as good as any!

I think Oakwood's is great. Just wished they served mashed potatoes. Their french fries taste like cardboard.

That is why I drown them in catsup and bbq sauce.

Tom, the only reason I didn't get my usual baked potato is because a friend of mine suggested I try their collard greens. I may never get the potato again!

If you like REAL pulled pork BBQ try Texas Stockyards. I even like Woodys pulled pork. Oakwood uses too much sauce for our taste. At the other two you can add as much sauce as you like.
