I've had a great bowl of NE clam chowder in Rockland, Kennebunkport and Bar Harbor ME. I've dad a good bowl of clam chowder in Boston MA and Providence RI. Not so much anywhere else. Is there a great bowl of Manhattan clam chowder anywhere ?

As Post#9 pointed out....Sysco delivers most of the food that the restaurant's serve here in the Villages....soooooooooooo You are eating " Sysco Restaurant " food . That's it reality check.

My 2 favorite area places for New England Style are below. These are great day or half day trips each about an hour drive from The Villages.

If you have not been to Celebration it is a must day trip just to have the Chowder and drive around the neighborhoods to see the homes.

The Blue Gator is a old river restaurant with a neat atmosphere.
