Had the Prime Rib special at Cane Garden several months ago. Thought it was a very good meal, particularly for the price. But good in and of itself.

I've also had way worse. It's good for the price.

Default prime rib

The ONLY place to go for PRIME RIB is the RUSTY DUCK in Lacanto (45 mins from the Villages ) it is truly a " different " dining experience..but worth the drive..

Anything else in Lacanto worth going to while there? Don't think I would drive 45 minutes just for prime rib even if it's free.

In the army we used to call that "damned by faint praise". I have heard good things about the rusty duck from others.

Taste is always a personal thing so what I like you may not. With that said, Cane's prime rib is okay but I woudn't do it again. I love their turkey dinners on Sunday tho.

Remember when they used to say that sex flashed into a mans mind (and probably a woman's too) every few minutes?

I think as we age restaurants and food have replaced sex.

Now that's a shame.

I don't eat Prime rib, reminds me of all the weddings we went to in the 50's.

But I did have the fillet mignon there a week ago and it was fantastic. Everything on the plate was fantastic and they cooked it exactly the way I asked. I complemented the waitress cause I think she played a major part in assuring the steaks were cooked the way I liked them.

I don't mean to get off track here but....last night I made an 8 ib. prime rib with Yorkshire pudding and 2 gravies. I thought it was marvelous.

The Downton Abbey staff would have been proud......

My big mistake was to live 12 villages away from you. YUM.
